
Elevating Marine Expertise – Garmin Marine Technical Training at AMIT Training Center, DMC
AMIT Marine Services proudly hosted a three-day Garmin Marine Technical Training Session at our
Training Center in Dubai Maritime City, bringing together Garmin distributors and AMIT technical
teams from the UAE, KSA, and the wider region for a comprehensive deep dive into marine
electronics and audio systems. Led by Garmin’s expert trainers — Daniel Andreasson, Simone
Bertolini, and Kevin Lott — the program focused on advancing technical proficiency and hands-on
capabilities across key Garmin Marine technologies.
Day 1: Core Garmin Marine Systems Trainer: Daniel Andreasson Participants explored Garmin’s
marine system architecture, installation standards, product integration, and troubleshooting
techniques. The session laid the groundwork for building reliable, high-performance marine navigation and communication setups.
Day 2: Introduction to Marine Audio Solutions Trainers: Simone Bertolini & Kevin Lott focus shifted
to the basics of marine audio technology, with a detailed overview of the Clarion and JL Audio
product portfolios. Attendees learned about system layout, speaker placement, and installation
considerations tailored for marine environments.
Day 3: DSP Configuration with JL Audio TüN® App Trainers: Simone Bertolini & Kevin Lott The final day featured a practical, hands-on workshop on JL Audio’s TüN® App—a digital interface used to
configure JL Audio’s DSP (Digital Signal Processing) systems.Technicians gained first-hand
experience in tuning and optimizing audio setups for various marine applications.
